I am not sure how to do this and it worries me not to be able to get my system back to its default state in case of a Hard Drive failure or something.How do I back up my computer's present state, using Acronis True Image?
Best is to create a boot CD with Acronis, then boot that CD and backup to a different disk drive (like external USB drive)

You just push the 'Backup' button and follow the prompts. It's really that simple. Just make sure to put your backup in a safe place. Ideally, you would add a second hard drive to your computer and put an Acronis Secure Zone on it.
