Fluorescent.... are they really the best thing to use? i hear of LEDs have replaced that statement is it true?

compact fluorescent is said to be the best in saving power and the world by lowering CO2, i heard from some friends that LEDs, yes, the same lights on your computer are even better, one said he can light a house with a car battery when using LEDs. The good thing about LEDs is that its energy consumption is minimal. We are talking mili amps. The problem is that it is still not practical to use an LED as a light bulb because of the state the technology is right now. However, there are people working on this problem. If they manage to solve this issue then we could be talking about lighbulbs that may be consumming 1 watt of power give or take. A small fluoresent uses 15Watts to 25 Watts. That would be a substantial savings. So, for now Fluorecent wings but maybe not for long.Fluorescent.... are they really the best thing to use? i hear of LEDs have replaced that statement is it true?
fluorescent is the best
LED is better .They don't get hot and they don't use mercury.
