Is it true that Apollo astronauts used a big slingshot to propel their spacecraft around the Moon & back home?

Who the heck was holding that slingshot? God?Is it true that Apollo astronauts used a big slingshot to propel their spacecraft around the Moon %26amp; back home?
The Apollo 13 astronauts had to do that as their lunar lander broke, so they couldn't land on the moon anymore and they were running too low on fuel to fire up boosters to turn around to the earth that they had to use the moon's gravity to slingshot around it to return back to earth conserving what fuel they had left after their ';accident'; in space.

Who was holding the slingshot?

Its caused by the curve in space due to Moon's gravity. Like going round the inside of a giant bowl.

Or for a simpler answer, yes it was God!Is it true that Apollo astronauts used a big slingshot to propel their spacecraft around the Moon %26amp; back home?
No, it's a gravitational effect CALLED the slingshot effect (aslo known as a gravity assist). By using the gravity of the moon, they swung around it, and then hit a booster to put them on a path back towards earth.
Seeing how you never select the right answer as the best one, I refrain from telling you the correct answer, although it has already been stated.

NASA rarely coordinates their techniques with a God, or even a God XLI, as both are utterly undependable.
Does anybody have any serious questions. I mean really this q and a is for real questions. I really can't find any good questions in the space section. Who ever told you that was a liar.
Hi. The ';slingshot'; was the Moon's gravity. God? No. Physics.
Is it true that you have no clue what you're talking about? They used gravity as a slingshot the propel themselves around.
THOU ART ME DAMNED RIGHT IT WAS GOD!!!!
