Only, I always thought it was no worse than when we use ';bloody'; as a swearword. (As I daresay ya can probably guess, I'm British, by the way!) Much obliged in advance, guys! Peace and love! Be lucky! :)Is it true the ';Goddamn'; is one of the worst swearwords ya can use in America?
No, the n word is. If you don't believe me, go into a public place and yell it and see what reaction you get. Nothing is even close to the n word.Is it true the ';Goddamn'; is one of the worst swearwords ya can use in America?
Goddamn doesn't even rank in the top 100... unless you're at Grandma's house.
I think Jerry is probably right - dropping an ';n-bomb'; is probably the most offensive thing you can do verbally... but not everyone gets offended.
The c-word that was part of the creative ';cuntscrapping'; suggested by the 1st answerer is the most offensive word you can say according to many (maybe most) women.
F_ck remains one of my favorites, and is a very offensive word. Sh!t is no longer considered offensive.
well where i come from(california) its words that discriminate against other races..due to the dense variety of races here.
i think it really depends where you live and the beliefs in that area
goddamn especially doesn't fly with U.S. television censors. Sure we can say **** in primetime now but goddamn won't work for the religious folk. It is nothing like your bloody.
That being said ';Cooter-Tweet'; has got to be one of the worst swears.
No it isn't but it comes pretty close. In America we take religion pretty seriously (not to say that other cultures don't), so openly using the lords name in vain is taboo. Some think its bad karma, disrespectful to Him or even sinful. Depends on who you talk to. Trust me...think it but don't say it aloud.
If you are dealing with a religious conservative it might very well be. At the very least it would be ';up their';.
If you are dealing with the majority of people then no. Most Americans are not religiously conservative - in fact a lot of them have a stunning ignorance of religion. The f word, the s word would be the worst swears.
I don't agree with what people said about the n word or c word. The n word is an insult against African Americans. They can and do use it with each other all the time. It is only when someone from another race uses it in reference to them that tempers flare. It is an adjective, not a swear.
The c word is an insult used to slight women. But it is not a swear word. Some women take great offense to this word so I would just not even say it.
