olive oil as moisturizerI heard that olive oil can be a good moisturizer. If it's true, how do I use it?
Yes you can. It is recommended that you use virgin, as it contains no chemical additives/residues and is expeller-pressed.
I have heard that you can add vanilla extract for a cost effective and pleasant scent.
it does not clog pores, but if it doesnt soak in, wipe off the residue with a clean cloth after 10-15 minutes.
Id only recommend it for mature skin though, to prevent a breakout from occuring.
Hope this helps!I heard that olive oil can be a good moisturizer. If it's true, how do I use it?
infact it is a very good moisturiser and prevents the apparition of new stretch marks and helps in making your skin soft.
You have tthe choices in the moisturising of your skin below
1- you can try olive oil and sugar. make a paste of it. exfoliate your whole body (face can be done too) with circular movements. extra massage should be done in very dry spots elbows knees etc... follow with a hot bath for the oil to penetrates your skin and finish with cold or warm final rinse.
2- you can warm the oil and massage your skin with it and take your shower. it is better if you allow the oil to work on your skin for 30 mins before shower.
3- you can also use it after your shower as a lotion but you should NOT be generous with the oil. it also helps in a very lovely tan (honey coloured) but careful you are going to smell fried oil if stayed under the sun for too long. But the application of olive oil sure does you good in winter and no smell at all.
All 3 above have been experienced by myself and i can tell that i have now very soft and beautiful skin!!
Kitchen virgin olive oil is better.
Good luck!
drop it in ur bath or use a little and spread evenly but i warn u sometimes it also dries out the skin or people have reactions to it. Go for a non saltly one
yes, just massage it on to ur skin in circular motion

She's 72 years old, I believe... great looking skin...
You probably put it on your skin. That's probably your best game plan. Put the olive oil on your skin...and rub it in...and moisture will result.
Just put a few dots on your face and rub it in really good. (Don't use to much or it will feel greasy.) Here are also some other oils you could try:
Coconut oil
Emu oil (good if you have acne)
jojoba oil
Hope this helps!!!
It sounds pretty greasy, and it would probably make you break out.
