Is it true that when you form an LLC in New York, you have to advertise or you cant use court otherwise?

It is more likely to be true that your business name on any paper or business card has to say LLC ((just like a corporation has to say Inc on their stuff).

NO, it's something you file with the Secretay of State like all other Corporations.
