Is it true that xbox live is going to be free to use after august this year?

ha, i highly doubt it, Microsoft loves to rip off its customers making them buy necesary add-ons that really should have been included in the console to begin with e.g. wifi internet. It's strange really seeing as how the PSN is just as good with online playability as XBL. I've played the same multiple games on both consoles in the same house over the same connection and there is no difference in the playing of the games, all the games run just as smooth as each other and if anything it's the 360 that takes longer to find a match, but that doesn't really bother me, i'm seriously considering selling my 360 since all it's 'exclusives come out on PC and anything else is avaliable on PS3.Is it true that xbox live is going to be free to use after august this year?
No. They would have announced it at E3 if it was going to be free. And really why would they make it free? They've made over 1 billion dollars off the service to date so don't expect it to be free. Also, Xbox Live gamers pay for the quality service that they get. XBL is so much more advanced than the Playstation 3 Network that i am alright paying 50 bucks a year to get a great service.Is it true that xbox live is going to be free to use after august this year?
No, Games For Windows Live ( the PC Version of Xbox Live) is Free.


However it does mean that you can play on some ';cross-platfomr'; gmaes for free on your silver account.
