Since Nascar drivers can't stop to urinate during a race, do they use catheters?I've heard that NASCAR drivers use catheters during a race. Is this true?
I think the bigger worry for them would be the other end...number two....What if they had too much spicy food or have a bout of gastroenteritis?I've heard that NASCAR drivers use catheters during a race. Is this true?
Probably not. I'm sure they go before the race and besides, the races aren't THAT long. Remember, they sweat a lot too.
no they do not most of their fluids are lost through sweat during the race
Nope, they don't use that. If they have to go they go, but most of the fluids in their bodies are just sweated right on out.
That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! The answer is no! By no means do they wear such a thing! How would you like to drive for 500 miles with something stuck up there?! But seriously, they do not ';wear'; this! Good question though! A lot of people would probably wonder this too!
no way
No, they just let it go.
No. If they really have to go, they just go. Most races are under four hours and they can hold it. They also sweat a lot of the fluids out of their bodies.
no they get them selfs ready by first using the bathroom and watching what they eat and drink within i think they said 3 days of a race.
I have no idea, but I heard that those suits have some kind of special way for them to relieve themselves. As for a catheter, they couldn't do one every week, it would be too much.
Get Real!
i heard that some go in the car....since is really hot inside, it evaporates, just as if nothing happened...
Not likely. There may be a repository in the suit though they probably don't need it much given the amount those guys sweat during the race.
I don't think so. Many of the races these guys will loose ten-15 pounds from the tremendous heat. Haven't you seen where bottles of water or Gatorade are passed to them during a pit stop?
I have no idea but thank you for asking b/c I have been wondering that for a long time ... When nature calls ??
very interested to see if anyone knows correct answer
I seriously doubt that, as they are rather painful. They probably just use it before they start. Then during the race if they can't hold it they just let it go.
No, they're problem is getting enough water into their bodies during a race, not the opposite.
